It’s absurd how many ballplayers undergo operations every year.
Everyone out there has a story, and every story gives us unique insight into the healing process. Surgery veterans take on a dugout role as makeshift counselors to those who follow in their unfortunate footsteps, and absorbing others’ experiences is a great way to get a leg up on one’s own recovery.
If you have been through ANY baseball-related injury (tommy john, labrum, rotator cuff, ulnar transposition, tendinitis, etc.), or a general sports injury that is relatable to the baseball world (knee, muscle tears, whatever) we would like to post your insights on the site.
This could include, but is not limited to:
- Articles of any length (could be one-time or multi-part series)
- Warnings
- Tips
- Coping methods
- Lessons learned
- Ways to prevent re-injury
Be it two lines or ten pages, I think every little bit of information that could be gathered here can be a big help to someone undergoing a procedure for the first time. I will edit, reformat, or coauthor if you’re not comfortable sharing your writing with the world, but when published, all the writing credits will be yours.
